A former English teacher at a prestigious Los Angeles school has pleaded guilty to having sex with two underage teen students, one of whom got pregnant. City News Service says Joseph Koetters entered pleas Wednesday to oral copulation and sexual penetration by a foreign object, both involving a person under 18. Prosecutors say Koetters - who worked at Marlborough School in Hancock Park - had sex with the students between 2000 and 2004.

" Sony Pictures Entertainment has reached a settlement with current and former employees, agreeing to pay up to $8 million to reimburse them for losses, preventative measures and legal fees related to the hack of its computers last year. The agreement calls for up to $10,000 a person, capped at $2.5 million, to reimburse workers for identity theft losses, up to $1,000 each to cover the cost of credit-fraud protection services, capped at $2 million, and up to $3.5 million in legal fees.

The New York Times is collaborating with Google to launch a virtual reality project that includes a free app to view films on devices like smartphones. The newspaper publisher said Tuesday the NYT VR app that will be available for download in both iOS and Google Play app stores starting Nov. 5. The first virtual-reality film in the project is titled "The Displaced" and follows the experiences of child refugees from south Sudan, eastern Ukraine and Syria.
